Better Chocolate Chip Cookies

A cookie is the ultimate treat! I love to bake, and cookies are my favorite thing to create. They are so versatile, handy and delicious. No one can deny that a small hand-held treat with the perfect mixture of flavors and textures is the quintessential dessert, treat, reward, or snack for any occasion. The problem is that cookies, like many sweet treats, are laden with fat, sugars, and other unnecessary or unwanted ingredients that are far from healthy and certainly not ideal for pregnancy. Many women give up and abstain from enjoying any sweet treats because they know the ingredients are not healthy nor good for them.

I set out to change that because I think women, especially pregnant women and their families, can enjoy things like cookies when they are made with better ingredients. I love a classic chocolate chip cookie and so do my family and friends, so this Better Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe allows everyone to enjoy the flavors, textures and comfort of a classic favorite with better ingredients compared to the usual recipe. While the classic recipe will always be in the cookie hall of fame, so to speak, this recipe is a close second to allow people to enjoy the classic taste of this cookie. This recipe is timeless and can fit any family. Change up the fruit, nuts, or the type of chocolate to create different flavor combinations and profiles. The possibilities are endless for your next sweet, go-to snack or dessert!
