For New Parents
Are you about to become a new parent or know someone who is? It is an exciting time, but it can also feel overwhelming. One thing that can help you feel prepared is taking prenatal classes. That’s where Strong as a Mother comes in!
Get Prepared
My friend and former colleague from Labor & Delivery, Lauren Cascone, is a certified childbirth educator, lactation counselor, and was a Labor & Delivery nurse for over 10 years. Now, she has her own business, Strong as a Mother, which offers new moms-to-be live, interactive, self-paced prenatal classes on breastfeeding, childbirth prep and baby care basics.
Best of all, she is now offering all of her classes and 1×1 consultations virtually. The reason I love Strong as a Mother is because it gives new expectant parents all of the resources they need to be confident first-time parents, but it’s also a comfortable, safe, and fun community to share and learn with other expecting mothers/couples.
If you are interested but financially stretched right now, please reach out to Lauren. She runs specials frequently and can offer free or discounted sessions to those in need.
Social Community
And for expecting moms and parents looking for free virtual support during this time, check out Strong as a Mother’s private Facebook group (@strongasamotherct). Lauren co-hosts a weekly pregnancy/postpartum support meeting via Zoom along with a Licensed Professional Counselor, and you can find all the info on her Facebook page.
let’s find support together
In times like these, it’s very easy to feel isolated, overwhelmed, and anxious. You are not alone! And online groups and small businesses like Strong as a Mother can help you deal with the unique stresses of this time and the very normal anxieties you may feel about becoming a new parent.
Do you know of a great business that supports moms and families? Share it with us! Post it in the comments or email it to me at prenatalpossibilities@gmail.com.
