About

As a nurse midwife, I have dedicated my life to listening to women and supporting their ability to make informed decisions about their pregnancies, healthcare, and medical choices.

Prenatal Possibilities is my way to reaching out beyond my own hospital in order to provide the most up to date information about nutrition, health issues, and trends surrounding pregnancy and women’s general well-being.

Prenatal Possibilities aims to empower women with information and tolls to develop healthy lifestyle habits that will stay with them far past pregnancy. Ultimately, I strive to create a culture of  informed women who share healthy lifestyle choices with their children, families and other women.

This site is not just for pregnant women. Prenatal Possibilities welcomes everyone – men, teens, grandparents, friends, and coworkers supporting pregnant women and childbirth. It may “take a village” to raise a child, but that village must include a strong network of support and reliable information to have a successful pregnancy and healthy birth. That’s where Prenatal Possibilities comes in!

I have been a nurse for close to three decades and a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for almost two decades. I have worked in the most diverse settings and had the privilege to meet, care for, and interact with the most dynamic, interesting, and insightful women. Possessing a PhD in nursing, I am a scientist at heart with a passion for putting research into action in ways that improve people’s lives.

Prenatal Possibilities is your go-to resource for recipes, tips, and practical nutritional guidance through your pregnancy and on into the future. Our mission is to empower mothers and their families’ worlds with the most accurate, current information for health, wellness, and informed choices. Welcome!
